Birthday party decorations...CHEAP :-)

So for my oldest son's 4Th birthday I wanted some cheap decorations but of course they needed to be cute...So off to pinterest I went. I found 2 cute idea's using just balloons, I mean really how much cheaper can you get then balloons? You just go to the dollar store and get a whole pack of 25 balloons for $1 um hello I'll take it! Look behind us at the balloons, ha I didn't have the idea of my blog yet of course or I would have done a close up.
This is super easy and got lots of complements! All you need is to blow up your balloons and tie them just like normal. Then take a needle and thread and start threading your balloons on the string(using the tied part lol) Super easy right...Told ya! For a better picture you can go to the origianl pin here. I also had these up at all the entrences so if you wanted to go anywhere in my house you had to go threw this. Way cool :-)

Glow in the dark bowling

Ok Peeps this is by far the coolest thing I have done on Pinterest to date! At the end of July my oldest son turned the big 4 :-) I search Pinterest for party idea's...There were a lot of great games especially for outside which you would have thought would have been great since it was July right...WRONG! It was really too hot here for the kids to even go outside for any time so I had to find something that I thought would keep them entertained for a long time inside after the usually cake and presents. We did do a water balloon fight while after cake and presents while waiting for it to get dark enough for this....Wait for it it's that good :-)
WARNING about this glow in the dark bowling...YOUR KIDS WILL PLAY WITH IT FOR MONTHS! My kids pulled out the 2 litter bottles(empty of course) EVERYDAY for months until I slowly threw one a way at a time. This is by far the best thing I have done off of Pinterest to date I think. What you need... 1. 10 2 litter bottles (empty of course) 2. 10 big or 20 little glow sticks, I had the ones that you can make into a neck less so I used 20 3. Fill the bottles with water btwn 1/4 and 1/2 full, insert glow sticks and WHOA LA your done. Find a ball and start bowling! Pop Bottle Ghost

Ok Peeps you might be saying I thought you were supposed to make it from milk cartoons...Well I've seen both. I can't actually find the original post for some reason on Pinterest but I know it was there. So your thinking did it work or not well KIND OF! The kids had fun making them but you can't really see that they are ghost unless your really looking. But again the kids had fun so to me it was worth it. So here's how I did it... For the little kids I cut out eyes and a month taped it to the bottle so all they had to do was color it in with a sharpie, for the older kids (my nieces) I let them draw there own faces.
This is one after they colored it
Then I just took and cut a hole in the back of the bottle to stick the string of white lights in and stuck them outside. As you can see you can't tell what the heck is outside my house but whatever we did it and they had fun so I was a good mom/aunt and stuck their work outside :-)If anyone else has done something like this please share!

Money balloons for birthday present

The original post came from magicalchildhood.wordpress.com
and I thought what a great idea :-) So when a friend of mine's little boy was turning 5 and I didn't know what to get him I remembered seeing this. I however didn't want to have to wrap a box full of balloons so I decided to spend the 50 cents that Dollar General charges to blow them up. So off me and the boys went...What an adventure!! Anyone with 2 young kids kknows it can be a task to go anywhere! It was a double Birthday party so I needed a bag for one of the gifts and of course where is it located but of course in the back of the store and Kaeden (almost 2)decided he needed to walk the whole time...Lucky me :-) When I finally get to pay I tell them that I want to put 5 $1 bills in each balloon. Here is a tip...Have them blow the balloons first while you are rolling the money as tight as you can, once they are filled slowly work it down into the balloon. They must do it this way or the balloons pops...Don't ask how I know this :p Meanwhile we get the first balloon done when she ask do you have string...Um no of course I forgot it and guess where it is YES in the back of the store! I must have had a look on my face b/c she says hold the balloon and I'll go grab it for you. Great idea right? Well it would have been until Kaeden goes to run out the door I grab him, letting the balloon go and up to the ceiling it goes. It must happen a lot there because they had a special stick to get it down. YAY! What seems like forever I got my final product...
I used candy to weigh it down.
EVERYONE LOVED IT! Everyone thought it was the coolest thing ever and he had a great time trying to pop them to get his money.
